Pop-Up: Toodledo
- Toodledo.com is a free online task management service with a paid "professional" version.
- Toodledo allows you to sort tasks by:
- Context
- Folder
- Tag
- Due Date
- Start Date
- Priority
- Importance
- Status
- Alphabetical
- They also have a tool to list your goals, and tie the related tasks to those goals. (The pro account lets you track progress in your goals)
- Pro accounts allow you to generate statistics and graphs, but it would depress me to see a graph of all the tasks I haven't accomplished.
- Toodledo also stores notes and files related to your tasks.
- If you're not on the computer all day, you can also print a sheet of your tasks that you can cut and fold into a pocket-sized booklet.
- There's all kinds of other stuff I never take advantage of, like recurring tasks, and shared lists.
- Overall, it has enough features to make it flexible, but not enough to overwhelm you, and what it lacks in a good desktop application, it makes up for in a large list of connections, like a Firefox addon, google calendar updater, twitter integration, etc. They even have a great developer's API so you can build your own tool.
- 4 out of 5 stars, The interface is still a little too slow to replace tools like ListPro, but they do store your tasks online, so no matter where you are, if you have internet access you can check and update your list, which makes it much more likely that you will keep getting things done.

View-Source: God's RSS
- Have you ever read someone's blog that all of a sudden stopped being updated?
- Or listened to a podcast that has no recent episodes? (sorry about that!)
- There have been many times that I was searching for a podcast on a specific topic, only to find that the best podcasts are no longer produced and updated.
- Sometimes the opposite happens, sometimes I subscribe to a podcast because of an interesting episode, then I stop listening once the topic gets to something I'm not as interested in.
- That got me wondering, what about the spiritual inputs in my life? Are they being updated and continued? Am I dropping off when I get bored?
- In Proverbs 4:10-12 Solomon is urging his son to listen to his words, to subscribe to his feeds, and God wants us to do the same thing with His word, His RSS feed.
- Acts 4:42 describes the reaction of some of the first converts to Christianity, when those who saw the crucifixion realized that Jesus was the Christ. They "devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
- Basically, they accepted Christ, subscribed to God's RSS feed (they got it as it was happening, but we can still subscribe to the archives!), and joined the social network.
- Note that it didn't say that they devoted themselves to the interesting lessons, or the stuff they enjoyed... but that they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching... all of it.
- Too often I find myself skimming over the books I'm not interested in, I mean Numbers... seriously?
- But then I started wondering... if God's given me all these blog entries He inspired, which ones does He want me to read, and which does He want me to skip over?
- In 2 Peter we are told that prophecy wasn't written by men, but that men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
- I wonder what God was thinking when he spoke through men? What was the purpose of the Holy Spirit guiding them?
- Was it for me to ignore and gloss over? Or for me to add to my feed reader and pay attention to, twitter about, and comment on?
- How do you filter God's RSS? Do you read every word, or are you like me and just Google the fun stuff?
